Heart Centered Marketing matters now more than ever.
Customers can tell if marketing is telling the truth and cares.
Millenials, in particular, are demanding new levels of transparency and authenticity.
This may sound like marketing has to do a lot more work, but the good news is that the pay off is big.
When companies show customers they care, their customers buy more and refer others more.
This is becoming increasingly true not just for consumer products companies like Starbucks and Nordstroms but also for high tech companies.
Take Apple as an example.
Apple’s design chief, Jonathan Ive, says, “I think subconsciously people are remarkably discerning. I think that they can sense care.” Apple cares more about the work they are doing and the products they are creating, and in turn, their customers care more about them.
I believe the same is true about marketing. Customers can tell if marketing cares and that makes all the difference in building successful long-term customer relationships and a successful long-term high tech business.
Do you agree that marketing needs to show customers they care in order to stand apart in this Digital Age?
